Police have confirmed that an 18‑year‑old man from Ely, Cardiff, has died following a serious two‑vehicle collision in St Nicholas.
Emergency services were called to The Tumble at around 8:05pm on Saturday, June 7, after reports of a crash involving two vehicles.
Despite the efforts of first responders, the teenager was pronounced dead at the scene. His family has been informed and is being supported by specially trained officers.
Two other people involved in the collision, a 59‑year‑old woman and a 64‑year‑old man, both from Bonvilston in the Vale of Glamorgan, were taken to hospital for treatment for injuries sustained in the crash.
South Wales Police say an investigation into the circumstances of the collision is ongoing, and officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage from the area around the time of the incident to come forward.
