A consultation is being launched on an action plan to improve life in the Vale for older people.
Last October, the Vale of Glamorgan became the fourth area of Wales to be awarded Age Friendly status.
The World Health Organization recognised work undertaken to ensure the county is a place where people of all ages - particularly those over the age of 50 - are supported to live and age well.
Now, the Age Friendly Vale Network is drawing up a three-year plan designed to ensure the area is a fair and better place for older people to live and work.
A series of events will be held over the next fortnight to gather feedback from local residents.

Cllr Ruba Sivagnanam, cabinet member for community engagement at Vale Council, said: "Ageing affects us all, and as we grow older it's so important that the place we live caters to our physical, social, and mental needs."
"The Age Friendly Action Plan is an important piece of work which reflects a range of services which both the Council and our PSB partners deliver such as transport, housing, and healthcare."
"This is an opportunity for everyone to have their say on which actions should be prioritised and how we can ensure that we are best serving the needs of our older residents."
The draft Plan for 2025-28 sets out eight key areas for focus in line with the Age Friendly Charter, including transport, housing, health services, respect and social inclusion.
It forms part of the work of the Vale of Glamorgan Public Services Board (PSB), which works alongside senior community leaders from public and third sector organisations.
PSB members also form a part of the Age Friendly Vale Network, which also includes community groups and older residents.

The first of the community feedback sessions will be held at Murchfield Community Centre in Dinas Powys on Friday afternoon (19th July) between 2pm and 4pm.
Other sessions will be held at:
- Rhoose Community Library on Tuesday 23rd July from 10am-12pm
- Cowbridge Library on Wednesday 24th July from 2-4pm
- Belle Vue Community Cafe in Penarth on Thursday 25th July from 12.30pm to 2.30pm
- Dinas Powys Community Library on Tuesday 30th July from 10.30am to 12.30pm.
To take part in the survey, visit the Vale Public Services Board website or for a hard paper copy, call 01446 700 111.
