Fire crews are currently dealing with a fire at the Hare & Hounds pub in Aberthin, Cowbridge, which began at around 8:30am on Thursday morning.
A number of fire engines have been pictured at the 300-year-old pub, which reopened in 2015 when local chef Tom Watts-Jones and his wife Sarah, took over and renovated the pub.
South Wales Fire and Rescue confirmed that they recieved a call at around 8:30am to reports of a fire at a property on Maenday Road.
A South Wales Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "Crews, appliances, a water bowser, and an aerial hydraulic platform from Bridgend, Llantwit Major, Barry, Pontypridd, Kenfig Hill and Ely are currently in attendance. The incident is on-going."
South Wales Police are also at the scene. A force spokesperson said: "We're at the scene of an incident on the A4222, Aberthin.
"The road is currently closed in both directions between Watery Lane and Cowbridge High Street, Cowbridge.
"Please avoid the area and use alternative routes where possible. Thank you for your patience."
