Marie Curie volunteers in Penarth are preparing to host a masquerade ball this Autumn.
The glitzy event, being held at the Cardiff City Stadium on Saturday 26th October, is being organised by Dawn Parsons, a retail manager based at the end-of-life charity's Windsor Road store.
It's hoped the ball - which includes a silent auction, a raffle and live entertainment - will help raise thousands of pounds for Marie Curie, whose hospice for Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan is based in Penarth.
Dawn said: "I have wanted to put together a masquerade ball for quite a few years now. With the passing of my mum Eirlys earlier this year, it made it even more important to me to make those special memories and cherish those moments with your loved ones."
"The aim for the evening is for people to come and enjoy themselves, letting their hair down and having fun raising money to support Marie Curie in providing expect care for anyone with an illness they're likely to die from and providing support for their family and friends."
The evening runs from 7.30pm to 11.30pm with tickets costing £65 per person, including a three-course meal and a glass of champagne on entry. Groups can also book a table for ten people for £600, making a saving of £50.
