A children's playground in Rhoose has been given a £180,000 makeover.
Work began in October on a nature-themed revamp of Celtic Way Park, which includes new swings and slides, along with a roundabout, a seesaw and a handful of sensory activities.
A group of kids from the local play group Passport to Play were among the first to try out the new look playground - the latest to benefit from an ongoing programme to improve outdoor play areas in the Vale.
Cllr Mark Wilson, cabinet member for neighbourhood services, said: "It is wonderful to see that the new play area at Celtic Way Park is now complete and open to the public."

"The plans for the new improvements were finalised back in 2024 following a consultation with residents and community groups – thank you to everyone who took the time to help shape this project."
"I hope that the play area will be enjoyed by children and their families for many years to come!"
Vale Council said Section 106 funding was used to pay for the revamp, which was design and built with the specialist playground company Kompan.
Bulb, wildflower and tree planting was also carried out by community group Replant Rhoose and the Vale Local Nature Partnership before construction work began.
