More than £30,000 has been raised by an annual Christmas appeal in aid of disadvantaged families in the Vale.
Donations given to Santa's Cause has been spent on buying toys, games and books, which will be sent to those in need in time for the big day.
Vale Council says this year's appeal has helped more children in the county than ever before, as the result of the genorosity of local residents & businesses and its own staff.
Chief executive Rob Thomas told Bro Radio: "We could focus on the negatives on why this has to happen in 2024, but if you focus on the positives, the staff see the real difference when they deliver the presents to the children and to the families themselves."
He added: "We're at the heart of the community, so we deliver services - a range of services across the board - which touch most people in our communities at some parts of their lives."
"And when you think about our role in the community, we're well placed to arrange something like this."

Council workers have been volunteering their time to co-ordinate collections and managing such logistics from wrapping to delivering the gifts.
For many families in the Vale, the support means not only providing presents but also bringing a sense of normalcy and joy during a challenging time.
And according to the council, Santa's Cause also highlights the positive impact of a community coming together - and what can be achieved when people unite to support one another.

Council leader Lis Burnett said: "The organisation and delivery of Santa's Cause is a massive task, and our council workers have gone above and beyond to make it happen."
"It has become a cornerstone of the council's festive activities, embodying the spirit of giving and community support."
""From the careful planning to the personal touches added to each bag of gifts, their hard work ensures that children across our community can experience the magic of Christmas."
"I am so proud of what they've achieved, and their efforts are a true testament to the spirit of the season."
"A big thank you also goes out to the local businesses, community groups, and individuals who generously donated money and presents. Their contributions have been essential to the success of the scheme."
"Whether it was toys, games, or festive treats, every donation played a part in bringing smiles to children's faces and lightening the load for families in need."
