Detectives believe a spate of car burglaries in the Penarth and Cardiff areas may be linked.
Detectives say homes in Cardiff Bay and Penarth are among those that have been targeted, along with other addresses in the Penlyan, Whitchurch, Rhiwbina and Llanedeyrn areas
The burglars are gaining quick entry through unlocked doors at night and making off with valuables, car keys and the vehicles themselves.
Among the makes of cars stolen are Mazda MX5, BMW, Mercedes, Audi, and Volkswagen.
South Wales Police believe the same individual or individuals are responsible.
Detective Inspector Phil Marchant said: "An investigation is ongoing to identify and locate those responsible for these recent burglaries, but in the meantime, I’d like to stress to residents just how important it is that their belongings, particularly car keys, are stored safely – even while in their own home."
The force is urging homeowners in the area to make sure their doors are locked and their car keys are kept hidden and out of sight.
Anyone with information about the burglaries should contact South Wales Police on 101 or use the live webchat. Alternatively, contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
