On Easter Monday from 12pm, the kids are taking over!
It's all part of the Bro Radio Academy takeover, where young people aged 11-18 from across the Vale of Glamorgan who've attended the courses over the last few weeks and months get to showcase what they've learnt to the wider community.
17 year old Evie, who kicks off the seven hours of youth led programming with a two hour show said,
"Being given this opportunity to present my own show on Easter Monday is amazing. I walked through the doors of Bro Radio back in September last year and since then I've had so much support, guidance, encouragement and a LOT of fun"
So far in partnership with the Vale Youth Service, 36 young people have completed the 12-week accredited Agored Cymru course, with a further 10 due to finish in May. Details of another set of courses for those interested in media and journalism will be advertised very soon.
Opportunities for the young people have been supported by Barry YMCA, Community Foundation Wales and Llantwit Major Town Council.

Amelia, who's 14 and one of those who've completed the course said,
"I've learnt so much and getting to play Taylor Swift on the radio is a dream! I've met new friends too, and had a good laugh with those I knew already as well"
Amelia's mum Sian added,
"Many thanks for giving Amelia the opportunity to present on Bro Radio, we’re so proud of her!"
Jamie Pritchard, Bro Radio Academy Lead said;
"It's great a station like ours can do something like this. I've seen first hand, the skills the young people have gained and the confidence that's come with it. Offering opportunities such as this, to learn new things and gain a qualification from it, is really important for their development and future too"
