Two men have been charged after a disc cutter was stolen from an unlocked van in Barry.
Police were alerted by a 999 caller to a theft on Coigne Terrace on Monday morning.
Soon after, with the caller's help, a suspect vehicle was stopped on Cardiff Road in Dinas Powys, where the Stihl tool, worth around £600 was found inside.
The driver and passenger were both arrested and the disc cutter was soon returned to its owner.
Brett Prangley (48) of Abertridwr and Michael Woodham (40) from Caerphilly were both charged with theft and will appear at Cardiff Magistrates Court on Tuesday 10th February.
Prangley was also charged with possession of cannabis.
