The Vale Food Trail will return this May, as a two-week celebration of food that is good for people, place and planet.
Running from 24th May to 7th June, the trail builds on the success of recent years' events, which have seen an estimated 1,000 visitors during the 2024 and 2025 festivals.
The two-week celebration of local food, farming, sustainability and community spirit will begin with the Cowbridge Food Festival (24th & 25th) May and close on Open Farm Sunday.
The Vale Food Trail spans locations across the Vale of Glamorgan, inviting people to explore farms, vineyards, food producers, cafes, restaurants, gardens and creative community spaces - all offering immersive, hands-on experiences that showcase the very best of the Vale's thriving food scene.
Venues confirmed for 2026 include Pugh's Garden Centre in Wenvoe, Amelia Trust Farm, Llanblethian Orchards and Peterston Tea.
Organisers say there is still room on the line-up, with local growers, producers, food businesses and community organisations being invited to apply to host an event as part of the year's trail, with a deadline for applications of 27th February.
In previous years, the trail has spotlighted everything from sustainable farming practices and wildlife-friendly food production to artisan skills, local drinks, cultural events and hands-on family fun.
Louise Denham, Food Vale Coordinator, said: “Each year, the Vale Food Trail grows into something even more special. It brings our community together, celebrates the incredible producers right here on our doorstep, and shows how our food choices shape the world around us. We can’t wait to see the creativity our local businesses bring to the 2026 trail, and we’re excited to welcome visitors old and new to discover just how vibrant and diverse the Vale’s food scene truly is.”
The Vale Food Trail is delivered in partnership by Food Vale, Vale of Glamorgan Council, Visit the Vale, and Cywain.
