Work is expected to start soon on a new retirment living scheme in Cowbridge.
Over 50 new privately-owned apartments will be built at Darren Farm, designed especially for the over 60s.
Developers McCarthy Stone say the development will offer retirees "a fully tailored solution to suit their lifestyle and individual needs".
Work on clearing and levelling the site has already taken place - with old farm buildings being removed before access to the site is improved ahead of construction.

The project aims to welcome its first occupants in two years time with the first set of apartments expected to be released for sale late next year.
According to the developers, prices for the apartments - which have yet to be be revealed - are expected to be set in line with the local market.
Rebecca Johnson, sales director at McCarthy Stone, said "We are delighted to be bringing our retirement lifestyle to Cowbridge, with site works now beginning."
"Once complete, it will offer a fantastic opportunity for retirees to downsize and focus on doing the things they enjoy most, such as exploring the Vale of Glamorgan countryside or enjoying a wander around the local independent shops and busy high street."
"Each of our developments are designed to offer safety and companionship combined with privacy and independence within a vibrant community of like-minded individuals."
"We're expecting demand for this prestigious new development to be high, so would encourage anyone interested in learning about how McCarthy Stone can help them make the most of their retirement to get in touch as soon as possible."

Apart from the low maintenance one and two-bedroom apartments, the scheme will also include communal spaces such as a homeowners lounge and landscape gardens, along with a guest suite for friends and family to stay overnght.
The complex will be overseen by a house manager during office hours, with a 24/7 emergency call and camera entry system available in each apartment for added security.
A commerical office, which also forms part of the same planning application, will be built once the retirement scheme is complete.
