A youth volunteer at South Wales Police has bowed out after four years with the force.
Ben Simpson served more than 300 hours at community events across Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan.
Ben, who was based at the police volunteer hub in Barry, was given a certificate and present by Superintendent Naomi Drew to mark his send off for pastures new.
A spokesperson said: "Ben has always given 100 per cent when volunteering in his local communities and with South Wales Police.Thank you Ben and good luck for the future."
The Police Youth Volunteers, aimed at 14-18 year olds, is a recognised youth group aimed at developing good citizenship in young people rather than recruiting new officers.
