The FAW has unveiled a £3m extension to its headquarters at the Vale Resort in Hensol.
A newly extended gym facility will be used by Wales' national teams as part of the wing, which will include more space for analysis and sports science.
New changing rooms have also been built for both players and coaches, along with a lecture theatre for team meetings and media press conferences ahead of matchdays, called the Wynnstay 1876 - a nod to the creation of Welsh football's governing body at a Wrexham hotel nearly 150 years ago.
FAW chief executive Noel Mooney said: "We’re very excited to open the new wing at the Hensol headquarters, further investing into the Cymru national teams and the wider association."
"It’s vitally important that our national teams and staff have the best possible facilities to enable us to reach our full potential, both nationally and on the world stage.”
The FAW took over the site five years ago, previously home to Cardiff Rugby - and it's taken 18 months to build the new extension, which includes more office and meeting room space for the FAW's adminsitrative staff.
The wing is also powered by solar panels as part of a sustainabiility drive, which includes a garden area to support local wildlife, a new building management system to monitor power usage and office chairs made out of recycling material.
The Wales men's team will make their first use of the extension ahead of their World Cup qualifier against Kazakhstan next week - with manager Craig Bellamy due to name his squad on Thursday.
