The former mayor of Barry, Leslie Sword, has died at the age of 62.
Mr Sword, who was from Perth, served as a Labour councillor on Barry Town Council and served as the town's mayor from 2012-2013.
He passed away earlier this month following a fire at a flat on St Catherine’s Road in Perth.
Cllr Sword, an ex-footballer and aircraft engineer, moved to Barry while he was working for the Ministry of Defence.
He became involved in local politics and married his third wife, Rachel, in 2003. She later went onto serve as his consort during his year in the mayoral role.
Mr Sword returned to his home city in 2017, where a celebration of his life will take place at Perth Crematorium on Tuesday.
In Barry, the town council is flying all flags at half mast on Tuesday as a mark of respect.
Cllr Caherine Iannucci Williams, the current Mayor of Barry, said: “I am saddened to hear of the passing of Councillor Sword, former Mayor of Barry. On behalf of all councillors and staff, I send our heartfelt condolences to his family and friends at this difficult time."
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service confirmed there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding the fire at Mr Sword's flat in the early hours of 2nd March.
