Two people from the Vale are being questioned after a cyclist was hit by a vehicle in Cardiff’s Grangetown.
The collision happened on Dunleavy Drive at around 8.40am on Saturday morning.
Detectives say a 72 year-old man from Roath was taken to hospital with potentially life threatening injuries.
A 19 year-old man from Sully and his passenger, a 24 year-old woman from Dinas Powys, were arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.
