A gala held to mark International Women's Day has raised over £10,000 for Vale Domestic Abuse Services.
The money will go towards meeting growing demand for frontline services for domestic abuse survivors in the Vale of Glamorgan - with the charity seeing a 30% rise in women reaching for support over the past year.

Broadcaster Ruth Dodsworth, whose former husband was jailed for controlling and coercive behaviour, hosted the evening for over 120 people at The Bear in Cowbridge.
They included business leaders, charity supporters and key political figures including the Labour MP for the Vale of Glamorgan, Kanishka Narayan, and the social justice secretary Jane Hutt.
The charity is already planning to hold another gala next year.

Vicky Friis, chief exeuctive of Vale Domestic Abuse Services, said: "We are overwhelmed by the generosity shown by everyone who attended, sponsored, and supported this event."
"The funds raised will provide 200 hours of aftercare support for women across The Vale, helping them in their journey to independence."
Vale Domestic Abuse Services says it currently helps over a thousand women and more than 200 children each year who have experienced domestic abuse.
