Residents in Llantwit Major are being invited to take part in a public event aimed at shaping the future development of the town, as work continues on a new Placemaking Plan and a series of upcoming improvement projects.
Llantwit Major Town Council will host the open session on Wednesday 8 July, bringing together local people, community groups, and professionals to discuss ideas for enhancing public spaces, streets, and community hubs. The event will run from 6.30pm to 8.30pm at Llantonian Hall, with free entry and light refreshments available.
The evening will include an overview of the town’s Placemaking Plan, updates on planned projects, and a look at potential “quick‑win” improvements. Attendees will also have the chance to share their own suggestions and speak directly with councillors, volunteers, and others involved in shaping the town’s future.
The council is particularly encouraging residents with experience in town planning, urban design, digital innovation, marketing, communications, media, storytelling, and volunteering to attend, though the event is open to everyone.
A spokesperson for the Town Council said the session is an opportunity for the community to play an active role in developing ideas and helping bring new projects to life.
The event forms part of ongoing efforts to create a more vibrant, welcoming, and connected Llantwit Major for those who live, work, and visit the town.
