A Barry man who robbed a 15 year-old boy of his bike has been jailed for three years.
Brandon Thompson went onto steal an e-scooter from a man outside a Tesco store the following day.
The 20 year-old, of Bassett Street, pleaded guilty to charges of affray, robbery and theft.
Newport Crown Court heard on October 6th, Thompson had approached and threatened a teenager, punching him twice before he made off with his bike, which was later dumped.
The following day, he made off with a scooter from a man outside the Tesco Express store on Main Street.
Thompson was soon identified from CCTV footage and the stolen e-scooter was found at his home later that day.
A judge told Thompson he would be initially detained at a young offenders institute, before being transferred to an adult prison when he turns 21. He will serve half of his sentence in custody before being released on licence.
