Llantwit Major Town Council has elected a new Mayor to serve for the 2026/27 year.
Councillor Graham Morgan has taken on the role, following the council's recent Annual General Meeting.
Born and bred in our town, Councillor Morgan knows our community, its people, and its proud traditions better than most, serving on the Town Council as Councillor for the South East Ward.
His dedication and commitment to local life over the years have been greatly valued, and we are confident he will serve the town with great pride, passion, and integrity during his term as Mayor.
In a statement, a spokesperson from Llantwit Major Town Council said: “We wish Councillor Morgan every success in the year ahead and look forward to supporting him as he represents our wonderful town and all the exciting fundraising events he has planned.”
Councillor Morgan takes on the role of Mayor, from Councillor John Deakin, who served as the Mayor for Llantwit Major Town Council during the 2026/26 financial year.
