A man has appeared in court charged with the murder of a Cardiff woman.
The body of Victoria Thomas was found at a house on Caerphilly Road following an incident in the early hours of Monday.
The family of the 45 year-old, known as Vicki, said in a statement: “We are devastated that our much-loved daughter, mother, sister, aunt, niece and friend has been taken away so tragically.”
”Our family are broken, and we will miss her forever.”
”Please respect our privacy and our wishes to grieve at this devastating and difficult time."

Alcwyn Thomas (44), from the Heath area of the city, spoke only to say his name, address and date of birth when he appeared before Cardiff magistrates on Friday morning.
He was remanded in custody and will appear before a judge at Cardiff Crown Court on Tuesday.
DCI Matt Powell of South Wales Police, said: “Our thoughts are with Vicki's family who continue to be updated and supported by family liaison officers.”
