A new family fun run will be held at Barry Island to mark the weekend of St David's Day.
The 2k 'Daffodil Dash' - taking place on Sunday 2nd March - is designed for adults, children and dogs to take part.
The Mayor of Barry will be among those getting involved, raising money for her chosen charities - the Vale Foodbank and the Shua Trust Home & Sanctuary.
Cllr Catherine Iannucci-Williams said: "We hope you can Spring into action, put on your morning shoes and join us on the Daffodil Dash."
"I'll have my trainers on ready to line up with you on the start line."
It costs £6 for adults to register, with free entry for children and dogs - but everyone attending wiill need a ticket to take part. Registration fees also include daffodil themed accessories for the event.
