Barry residents are being offered financial help to hold their own celebrations for the 80th anniversary of VE Day.
Barry Town Council says it's making special grants available to the communty to host their own street parties.
Organisers can claim £3 per person to cover food and decoration costs for a VE Day event - which also includes get togethers at community centres - either on Bank Holiday Monday 5th May or Saturday 10th May.

Applications for the street party grants are available by completing an application form from the Barry Town Council website and returning it by email or post by 4pm on Friday.

Residents can also apply for a free road closure for a VE Day celebration on selected dates via Vale of Glamorgan Council.
Full details, including terms and conditions, can be found on the Visit the Vale website.
