The Vale's biggest primary school is celebrating a 'glowing' report from inspectors.
Estyn praised Romilly Primary School in Barry for "exceptional leadership" and "the collective efforts of the school community" following their visit in June.
A report, published last month, also highlighted rapid progress made by older pupils, whose written work was described as "excellent".
Inspectors also noted the frequent success by pupils in achieving high standards for digital, creative and scientific work.
Katy Williams, headteacher at Romilly Primary School, said: "I feel very proud and privileged to work with such dedicated and hardworking staff, governors, and pupils, as well as a fantastic and supportive community."
"I am also pleased to see that the report reflects our vision, which is to constantly strive to deliver outstanding access, attitudes and achievement."
Romilly is the largest of the Vale's primary schools with 717 pupils on its roll when Estyn carried out its inspection in the summer.
Describing the the schools' pupils overall, inspectors said they have the "social and emotional skills to prepare them for adult life" and "appreciate the high levels of care and support" provided by staff.
They go onto add: "From a very young age, they have well-developed independent skills, and their behaviour is exemplary."
"Remarkably impressive is how carefully they listen to feedback from staff and their classmates. They use this to improve their work and are often motivated to return to it to make it even better, when they have learnt new skills or techniques."
But the inspectors' report also called on Romilly to continue working with Vale Council on tackling its financial issues, as well as improving pupils' Welsh listening and speaking skills.
The school says it will come up with an action plan to address both concerns.
Cllr Rhiannon Birch, cabinet member for education at Vale Council. said: "Across the Vale we have hard working pupils and dedicated staff and nowhere is this more true than at Romilly Primary School."
"It is particularly pleasing to see the report highlight that pupils love learning – something that I know the whole school community works together to embed."
"I would like to congratulate everyone connected to the school on this fantastic recognition of their hard work. Gwaith da pawb."
