Men United in Song, a project led by Barry Male Voice choir, has raised £15,334 for Prostate Cymru.
The news was shared on Facebook on Wednesday morning, with members meeting at the Cwm Talwg pub in Barry to see the money officially handed over to Andy Thomas from Prostate Cymru.
The project was launched at the end of 2024, bringing men together, some with no prior choir experience, to be part of the exciting project.
Weekly rehearsals took place over ten weeks, starting in February and culminating in a concert at Llandaff Cathedral on April 11th.
The project initially aimed to sign up 40 local men, but by mid-January expanded its target to reach 100 members.
Whilst raising funds for Prostate Cymru, the project was an opportunity for men to make new friends and socialise with others in their community.
The cheque presentation on Tuesday, 13th May, saw the culmination of the project.
