Work has begun on a new affordable housing development in Llysworney.
Plans to build seven new homes on land at Moat Farm were given the go ahead in September 2023, despite concerns that the rural area lacked local amenities and infrastructure.
The scheme, led by the Newydd Housing Association, has received £1.55 million of Welsh Government funding from its social housing grant programme and is due to be completed by next spring.
Jason Wroe, CEO of the Cadarn Group, which includes Newydd, said: "We are excited to embark on this project, which will provide much-needed affordable housing in this rural area."

Eventually, the scheme will provide four one and two-bedroom flats along with three two-bedroom houses, available for rent and designed to be energy efficient to minimise the enivronmental impact.
Castell Group have been appointed as contractors in partnership with Vale of Glamorgan Council.
